The St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Columbus 58-29 on the road. Given St. Mary's-Colgan's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Titans are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jack Schremmer was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Voss, who scored 14 points.
The win (which was St. Mary's-Colgan's third in a row) raised their record to 14-2. As for Columbus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's-Colgan will take on the Rams at TBD on Tuesday. One thing working in Riverton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests. As for Columbus, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Golden Tornado at 4:30 p.m. on February 5th.
