Edon hasn't had much luck against Prairie Heights recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bombers will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Edon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Edon will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Lakewood Park Christian on Thursday. The Bombers were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Edon got a great performance from Lydia Tracey as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Tracey has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Alysa Smith and Nevaeh Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Alysa went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Nevaeh went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Alysa a new career-high. Kaylynn Bartlett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Edon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood Park Christian only posted an OBP of .385.
Meanwhile, Prairie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Westview.
Hayley Hardy was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Boots, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Edon's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Prairie Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
