Given Danville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Crawfordsville is ranked 370th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Danville was led to victory by Kooper Stone and Emma Ancelet. Stone scored 13 points along with 5 steals, while Ancelet scored 14 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists. The contest was Ancelet's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Maddy Wethington was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crawfordsville struggled to work together and finished the game with only a assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Danville racked up 11.
Danville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Crawfordsville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
