Isabella barely beat Verbena the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Red Devils 17-5 on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won ten contests by more than 11 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Levi Wilkins made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Isabella is undefeated when Wilkins posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Austin Porter was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four runs and two triples. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Thomas, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
