It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hillcrest had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Shelley Russets. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Jenna Jensen paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 15 kills. Jensen got some help from Natalie Petty and her 26 assists. Mya Weatherly controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
When it comes to explaining why Shelley lost, don't look at Ashtyn Davis. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and two assists. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 18 times she's played.
Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Shelley, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 28-10.
