The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of South Stanly by a score of 58-56. Forest Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Forest Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahmarion Mingo, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Rivera, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Forest Hills now has a losing record at 1-2. As for South Stanly, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Forest Hills won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Montgomery Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for South Stanly, they will be playing at home against North Moore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
