It was a good run, but the Knox Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They took a hard 73-57 fall against Broome Street Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Broome Street Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Foster led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 13 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Foster is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Wright, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Knox's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Broome Street Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Knox will head out on the road to face off against Holy Trinity at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday. Broome Street Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Varsity Opponent at 11:00 a.m. on January 15th.
