Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Knox). Everything went their way against the Iroquois Raiders on Saturday as Fort Knox made off with a 24-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Fort Knox let Eli Ortega and Gavin Saucedo run wild. Ortega scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Saucedo scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Saucedo also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Francisco Antunez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Fort Knox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fort Knox's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Iroquois, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

When Fort Knox and Iroquois next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fort Knox will square off against Edmonson County and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Iroquois will try to stop Valley's three-game winning streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on April 7.
