Raymond Central is 0-3 against Bishop Neumann since October of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will challenge the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Raymond Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Conestoga 39-7. The Mustangs pushed the score to 39-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Wyatt Jelinek produced another solid performance rushing for 166 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and a pair of TDs. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Raymond Central also got help from Tavion Johnson, who showed off his sure hands for 95 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Raymond Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Bishop Neumann didn't have too much trouble with Lincoln Lutheran on Friday as they won 31-13. The win continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.
Raymond Central's record is now 5-3. As for Bishop Neumann, their record now sits at 7-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Raymond Central has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 194.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bishop Neumann struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 266.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Raymond Central suffered a grim 48-27 defeat to Bishop Neumann in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Conor Booth (who rushed for 353 yards and six scores while picking up 14.1 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
