The Miller Cardinals stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 64-30 win over Sarcoxie. With Miller ahead 41-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Ashlynn Helton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Loghann Leivan, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Miller has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Sarcoxie, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pierce City at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Sarcoxie, they will head out on the road to challenge Wheaton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wheaton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Sarcoxie is ranked 247th).
