The Triplains/Brewster Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 47-30 to Cheylin. Triplains/Brewster was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cheylin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Triplains/Brewster lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kenlee Mackley. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Triplains/Brewster bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Cheylin, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triplains/Brewster will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rawlins County at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Cheylin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheatland-Grinnell at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Wheatland-Grinnell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 on Monday.
