 On Santa Rosa's side,  Jykub Gage was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. Gage was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Landyn Zamora was  excellent,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.  Sean Bonney was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Texico's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Santa Rosa, the  win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Texico beat Santa Rosa by a score of  15-11 later that day.
