The East Noble Knights lost against the Angola Hornets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. East Noble fell just short of Angola by a score of 51-48. East Noble has struggled against Angola recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rian David, who scored 11 points along with four steals. The contest was David's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Quake, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
It was another big night for Kylie Caswell, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds for Angola. That makes it three consecutive games in which Caswell has scored at least 25% of Angola's points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Holman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
East Noble has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Angola, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
East Noble will look to defend their home court on Friday against Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Huntington North is ranked 85th, while East Noble is ranked 101st). As for Angola, they will head out on the road to face off against Prairie Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Prairie Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
