The Escambia Academy Cougars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 35-22 to Fort Dale Academy. Escambia Academy lost against Fort Dale Academy in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-19 score last time.
Despite the loss, Escambia Academy still got an impressive performance from Keller Coston, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 172 yards and a touchdown. Quinton Odom was in the mix as well, providing Escambia Academy with two touchdowns.
Escambia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fort Dale Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Escambia Academy will take on Chambers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chambers Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight matches. As for Fort Dale Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
