The Cane Bay Cobras scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to First Baptist School for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-51 victory on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Cane Bay as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Cane Bay to victory were Curtrell Dixon and Isaac Smalls. Dixon scored 21 points, while Smalls scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvis Roper, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Cane Bay now has a winning record of 4-3. As for First Baptist School, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-5 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Cane Bay and Summerville will face off at 8:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Summerville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for First Baptist School, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodland at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
