Even though the Letchworth Indians have not done well against the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Letchworth managed a 46-41 victory over Caledonia-Mumford. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Letchworth also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Caledonia-Mumford had strong showings from Nathan Doll, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, and Donny Peet, who scored 14 points along with two steals. That was a full 36.6% of Caledonia-Mumford's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Caledonia-Mumford struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Letchworth pushed their record up to 4-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Caledonia-Mumford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Letchworth will be playing at home against Keshequa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Letchworth is facing Keshequa at the right time seeing as Keshequa is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Caledonia-Mumford, they will head out on the road to take on Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Caledonia-Mumford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
