It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ursuline had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Canfield Cardinals. The  victory was familiar territory for Ursuline who now have five in a row.
  CJ Frasco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Jake Bednar was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Thomas Pesa, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Ursuline pushed their record up to 16-12 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Canfield, their loss  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-7.
 As of now, neither Ursuline nor Canfield have any future games scheduled.
