John Marshall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Damon Thompson Jr out in front who scored 16 points. Thompson Jr is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden Argabright, who scored 15 points.
John Marshall's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Marshall won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Alexandria City at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Alexandria City will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Mt. Zion Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lanham Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lanham Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.2 points per game.
