Last Friday, San Fernando was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-45 to Kennedy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Fernando in their matchups with Kennedy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite their defeat, San Fernando saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Adrian Lomeli, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Bynum, who scored 11 points.
Van Nuys posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Panorama 64-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Van Nuys has posted against Panorama since May 28, 2021.
San Fernando's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Van Nuys, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
