On Tuesday Xavier Castro struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. On the season, he has an ERA of 2.21 over 12.7 innings pitched.
