The Platte Valley Broncos had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 49-43 W over Timnath on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Platte Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Braylon Edstrom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Talyn Short, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, Timnath saw an underclassman step up: Max Roselle dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roselle has scored all season. Luke Jacobson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Timnath smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platte Valley only pulled down five offensive rebounds.
Platte Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Timnath, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
