They took their matchup on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 72-19 victory over Sierra Linda. Sahuaro's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sahuaro was led to victory by Cassandra Coolidge and Kristen Valdez. Coolidge scored 18 points along with three steals, while Valdez scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Coolidge's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ny'Anza Brown, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
The victory for Sahuaro keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Sierra Linda, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Sahuaro's road trip will continue as they head out to face Goldwater at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Goldwater will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Sahuaro is ranked 11th). As for Sierra Linda, they will head out on the road to face off against Estrella Foothills at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Estrella Foothills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 577 points over their last seven games.
