The Tallulah Falls Indians lost against the Commerce Tigers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tallulah Falls fell 57-49 to Commerce.
Commerce's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Sorrells, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Sorrells has scored at least 25% of Commerce's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Peters, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Tallulah Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Commerce, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-11.
Tallulah Falls will be playing at home against Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce and Elbert County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
