Amari Brown Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Pueblo Central's Amari Brown, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.

A Season-Best Performance from Thomas Buckmiller Leads Coronado over Sierra
On Friday, Coronado got the W thanks in part to Thomas Buckmiller playing the best football he has all season. Buckmiller threw for 336 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Buckmiller has thrown 19 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 197.2 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had three passing touchdowns.

Zen Groves Delivers Best Performance of Season
Coronado was led to victory by Zen Groves, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Groves picked up 177 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards.
For the year, Groves has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 84.4 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 45 receiving yards per game.

Justus Freeman Goes Supernova in Pueblo East Victory
Pueblo East picked up their fourth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Justus Freeman. Canon City had no answer to Freeman as he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Pueblo East's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Freeman and Pueblo East will square off against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Dolphka Lewis Makes It Two for Pueblo East
Keeping Freeman company is Dolphka Lewis, a fellow Pueblo East player. He rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
Lewis and Pueblo East will take on Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lewis will face off against Thomas Buckmiller, the Cougars' star QB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
