Cleveland Central Catholic scaled the state rankings by moving to 289 from 447 this week, the biggest jump in North Coast - White. The Ironmen climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Euclid 26-9.
Villa Angela-St. Joseph took down Warrensville Heights 50-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Cleveland Central Catholic's dynamic duo of Desmond Lundy and Kie'Sean Cooke proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lundy threw for 177 yards and 3 touchdowns and Cooke had 118 yards receiving. Brandon Brown helped Cleveland Central Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 48 yards.
John Lundy's team's dynamic duo of Lundy and Cooke proved tough for Euclid to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Cooke was the best wideout in the league this week as the Ironmen defeated Tom Gibbons' team.
He was 10-18 with 1 interceptions.
Kyle McSweeney provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Trinity topped Rhodes. He completed 15 passes for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 6 yards. McSweeney's key target this week was Cory Haire, who caught 3 passes for 78 yards.
Matt Iacobucci was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 70 yards on 9 carries as the Trojans beat the Panthers. Teammate Antonio Capasso added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.
Lundy put up the best numbers through the air as the Ironmen bested Euclid.
6-foot-0 quarterback McSweeney of Trinity is the league leader in passing yards this season with 343. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cooke. The Cleveland Central Catholic star has 11 catches for 164 yards.
The Vikings led North Coast - White in scoring this week by notching 50 points on the Tigers.
