The Stockdale Mustangs will face off against the St. Joseph Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Stockdale 2.6, St. Joseph 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Stockdale's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 10-0 win.
The result came thanks to Nevaeh Garcia's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and St. Joseph had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bullard 4-2. The win was nothing new for St. Joseph as they're now sitting on four straight.
Taylor Mediano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Annalyssa Cota, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Stockdale is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6.
Both Stockdale and St. Joseph just can't seem to miss. The Mustangs have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like St. Joseph struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
