The Howard Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and play against the Caravel Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Howard is ranked tenth, while Caravel is ranked third).
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Howard walked away with it. They had just enough and edged Wilmington Friends out 30-28.
It was another big night for Rahsaan Matthews, Jr, who rushed for 45 yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Caravel put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Delaware Military Academy, posting a 35-7 win at home. Considering Caravel has won seven games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Howard's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points per game. As for Caravel, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
Howard might still be hurting after the 56-34 defeat they got from Caravel in their previous matchup back in September. Can Howard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
