Grace Academy waltzed into their matchup Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Austin Royals HomeSchool 56-24 at home. Grace Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Reagan Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Grace Academy's points. Lyla Carleton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Grace Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.22 points. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Grace Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Texas Wind at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Austin Royals HomeSchool, they will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cornerstone Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Thursday.
