After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clay County, Calhoun was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the St. Marys Blue Devils. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for St. Marys, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Calhoun beat the Blue Devils by a score of 9-8 later that day.
