The La Plata Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Green City Gophers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
La Plata has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by Meadville at home and fell 76-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points La Plata has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Green City stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 58-24 win over Linn County. The win was familiar territory for Green City who now have three in a row.
Green City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hailey Herschberger out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Herschberger also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Britney Jeffries, who scored 12 points.
La Plata's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3. As for Green City, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-6.
La Plata might still be hurting after the 60-40 defeat they got from Green City when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will La Plata have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
