Jefferson is 9-1 against Brackenridge since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 19 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Jefferson and six for Brackenridge.

Jefferson's last matchup with Highlands could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Owls, falling 24-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring game to date.

Davina Ramirez and Kiersten Amesquita did some serious damage despite the final result: Ramirez got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Amesquita went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Raelynn Rios also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Brackenridge lost 21-10 to Lanier on Tuesday. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Brackenridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joselynn Herrera, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Lilliana Padilla was another, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double.

Brackenridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Jefferson suffered a grim 19-4 defeat to Brackenridge when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
