The North Marion Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Lewis County Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Marion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
North Marion barely beat Preston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won eight in a row.

Rayden Satterfield made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reagan Ash, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katelynn Straight, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Lewis County waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Eagles.
Jaelyn Smith was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Addisyn Posey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Lewis County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in three consecutive games.
North Marion's record now sits at 7-11. As for Lewis County, their record is now 9-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. North Marion hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lewis County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
North Marion suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Lewis County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
