The Miller Buccaneers won against the Victoria East Titans last Tuesday with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Miller walked away with a 68-61 victory over Victoria East. The win was familiar territory for Miller who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Damare Lister, who scored 25 points along with five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of George Simmons, who scored 16 points.
Miller is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Victoria East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-15.
Miller will be playing in front of their home fans against Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller is coming into the match with three straight victories at home, so Carroll is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Victoria East, they will head out on the road to take on Flour Bluff at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Flour Bluff's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 games.
