The Viera Hawks will square off against the St. Mary's Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Viera is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Viera lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sebastian River, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Hawks blew past the Sharks 17-5 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Viera got a great performance from Isabella Kapatoes as she pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's didn't have quite enough to beat Eau Gallie on Tuesday and fell 5-4.
Olivia Lange was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.
At the plate, Lauren Payne was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Renee Henning was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
St. Mary's now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Viera, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Viera hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like St. Mary's struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
