The Colleyville Heritage Panthers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 57-6 victory over North Side on the road. The result was nothing new for Colleyville Heritage, who have now won six matches by 34 points or more so far this season.
Luke Ullrich continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 175 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Colleyville Heritage also got help from Braden Blueitt who showed off his sure hands for 99 receiving yards.
Colleyville Heritage's victory was their fourth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Polytechnic and 2-6 Southwest (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.8% over those games). As for North Side, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Colleyville Heritage will be playing at home against Polytechnic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Polytechnic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 943rd, while Colleyville Heritage is ranked 84th). As for North Side, they will head out on the road to face off against Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
