The Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Almeta Crawford Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fort Bend Willowridge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against La Marque, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 19-5 on Friday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Isaiah Villesana was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Fort Bend Willowridge got a massive performance out of Royce Wilson, who scored three runs and stole nine bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. That's the most runs Wilson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Geovanni Gonzales, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Fort Bend Willowridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .673. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Almeta Crawford waltzed into their contest on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spartans a 5-0 shutout.
TJ Weaver looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Almeta Crawford's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Shields, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Almeta Crawford pushed their record up to 18-3-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.
