The Timnath Cubs can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Friday. They were the clear victor by a  60-38 margin over Valley. The  win was just what Timnath needed coming off of a  78-51 defeat in their prior  game.
 Timnath found their leader in underclassman  Tiana Guzman, who  scored 16 points along with eight  rebounds and eight  steals. Guzman hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lily Eisbrener, who  scored 11 points along with four  steals.
 Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nevaeh Jimenez, who  scored eight points along with 20  rebounds and two  blocks. Jimenez is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.  Kendyll Mayhugh was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with nine  rebounds.
 Timnath is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timnath the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Platte Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on January 16th. Platte Valley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. Valley won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Strasburg at 4:30  p.m.  on January 13th.
