After losing to Lutheran-Northeast the last time they met, Wisner-Pilger decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gators came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

The win didn't come easy: Lutheran-Northeast scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20.

Emerson Bellar paced Wisner-Pilger's offense, picking up ten kills. Bellar got some help from Ramsey Arduser and her 21 assists. Jesa Montgomery controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lutheran-Northeast lost, don't look at Yatziri Martinez. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Wisner-Pilger's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Lutheran-Northeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wisner-Pilger and Lutheran-Northeast will both be playing Guardian Angels Central Catholic the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Gators will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
