When the two teams played each other last season, the Jackrabbits came away with a 38-21 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Lakewood, which notched a 21-7 victory over Compton in its previous outing. With the win Long Beach Poly extended its winning streak to three games. The loss snapped Lakewood's 2-game winning streak.
In its next matchup LHS (5-2) will take on Cabrillo in a Moore game. The Jaguars go into the week with a record of 2-4.
