Scout Harvey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Shaker Heights got a massive performance out of Emerson Miller, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one double. Those five runs gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Molly Milligan, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Shaker Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Solon got themselves on the board against Stow-Munroe Falls on Thursday, but Stow-Munroe Falls never followed suit. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 4-0. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Not much got past Grace Gerhard, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Stow-Munroe Falls off the board.
On the hitting side, Alyssa Gerome was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Bush, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Shaker Heights pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Solon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Solon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Shaker Heights has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. It's a different story for Solon, though, as they've only averaged .359. Will they be able to contain Shaker Heights' hitters?
Shaker Heights suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Solon when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
