While Cortland's victory against Oswego wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Purple Tigers had just enough and edged out the Bucs 4-2. That's two games straight that the Purple Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Caden Albright was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was CJ Urtz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Cortland and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Oswego, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cortland will face off against Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oswego, they will take on Liverpool at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
