In what's become a running theme this season, the Joppatowne Mariners gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 84-46 victory over Bohemia Manor at home. With Joppatowne ahead 43-21 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Joppatowne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Phil Clark out in front who scored 23 points along with two steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. Vance Jones was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds.
Joppatowne has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Bohemia Manor, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.
Joppatowne won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. Aberdeen has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. Bohemia Manor will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Panthers on February 1st. One thing working in Perryville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
