They enjoyed a cozy 51-36 win over Frankston. Given Martins Mill's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Indians are ranked 460th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Martins Mill to victory were Sawyer Moore and Jak Kinder. Moore scored 16 points along with five assists, while Kinder scored 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Cooper Wright, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Martins Mill's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Frankston, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cayuga the next time they take the court. Martins Mill will host the Wildcats at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
