The Greens Farms Academy Dragons had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 70-55 victory over Miss Porter's. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ryley Tate-Padian was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 18 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Molly Keaveney, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Greens Farms Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Miss Porter's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Greens Farms Academy will head out on the road to face off against Suffield Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Miss Porter's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wilbraham & Monson Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 29, 2024.
