It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Wasco Tigers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Reedley. The win was just what Wasco needed coming off of a 49-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Reedley still got an impressive performance from Demetrius Vargas, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Richie Camacho was in the mix too, providing Reedley with two touchdowns.
Wasco pushed their record up to 6-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points per game. As for Reedley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Wasco will be playing at home against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. The last three games Liberty has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Reedley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
