Softball Recap: Pearland's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 12

Pearland came tearing into Tuesday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. Considering the Oilers have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pearland's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pasadena Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Pearland will head out to face off against Shadow Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Oilers will need to watch out since the Sharks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Houston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
