Riverton Parke is 9-1 against Covington since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will face off against the Trojans at 7:30  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
Riverton Parke is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Attica with a sharp  15-1 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 contests by ten  runs or more this season.

  Lizzy Leitgabel was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Rylee Jukes also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Covington got the win against North Vermillion  on Tuesday by a conclusive  13-1. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by  exactly 12  runs.
 Alexus Peaslee made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Caydence Peaslee was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple.  Haley Holycross was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Covington  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Vermillion only posted  an  OBP of  .381.
 Riverton Parke has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Covington,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-15.
 Riverton Parke took their  win against Covington  in their previous meeting  on May 10th by a conclusive  14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
