After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bremond, Chilton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wortham Bulldogs 63-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Marneko Thomas Jr., who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 133 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Thomas Jr. was just one part of a punishing run game: Chilton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 389 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in eight consecutive games.

Chilton's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points over those games. As for Wortham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
