The Troy Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 81-36 loss at the hands of Lincoln County. While losing is never fun, Troy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Lions are ranked 43rd).
Leading Lincoln County to victory were Braden Casazza and Tristan Butts. Casazza dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Butts scored 22 points along with seven assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lane, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lincoln County, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
