The Lawrence County Red Devils lost against the Deshler Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lawrence County took a serious blow against Deshler, falling 91-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lawrence County in their matchups with Deshler: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lawrence County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaiden Wear. Despite the final result, he scored six points along with eight rebounds. Wear also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Dame, who scored ten points.
Lawrence County now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Deshler, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will take on Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deshler and Brooks will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
